Kathy:
Hi, I’m Kathy, this is Mark, and we’ve been a client of Black Swan for seven or eight years.
Mark:
We did have a local financial planner in Wimbledon, but she retired and we were in need of a new financial planner. Black Swan were recommended by some friends who were already clients with them.
Kathy:
At Black Swan, we deal with Steve and Jess.
Mark:
Steve and Jess have helped us with our retirement planning involving our ISAs, pensions, and so on.
Kathy:
We’re very happy with them, and are no longer worried about our finances. We just don’t have the time, skills or inclination to follow the markets or do any investing of our own. It just helps us sleep at night.
Mark:
We meet with Steve and Jess face-to-face annually, but obviously have contact in the intervening months. These review meetings assess where we’re at and what could be coming down the line in the next 12 months. You leave those meetings feeling confident that it’s all in good hands.
Kathy:
The last seven or eight years have seen quite a lot of global issues, but the investments they’ve made for us have weathered those events well. So, I feel more confident about when I’m going to retire and what will happen after that.
Mark:
I think the best thing about working with Black Swan is the working relationship over the seven or eight years. We’ve worked throughout with Steve, and more recently with Jess, and it just inspires confidence that when we do retire we are going to be comfortable with the investments we’ve made.
Kathy:
I had other financial advisors a long time ago that I was not so happy with. But I feel confident Steven Jess aren’t selling anything – they’re independent. We get the best advice for our circumstances, and they value us as clients, which makes a massive difference.
Mark:
I think Steve and Jess, first and foremost, are very approachable and knowledgeable and they inspire confidence.
We started working with Black Swan on the recommendation of friends who were already clients, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Black Swan to anybody that asked.
